performance

Paul has written numerous pieces for piano, choral/vocal, ensemble and orchestra.

His quintet, “Rubato”, performs his compositions and consists of flute, clarinet, violin, cello and piano.

One of Paul’s orchestral works included a special concert entitled “Muse to Music” with the late Spike Milligan.
Spikes poems were set to twelve original pieces of music written and orchestrated by Paul and the concert was staged at The Congress Theatre, Eastbourne.
Spike read his poems live on stage with the orchestra and Paul (piano) playing beside him.

(The orchestra, conducted by Scott Stroman, was the well known Opus 20 string section (under leader Ann Morfee) reinforced with woodwind, brass, percussion and piano – and a boy treble on “The Soldiers at Lauro”).

The picture below shows Spike and Paul “trying to be serious” at one of the many pre-concert meetings at Spikes house.
